1. What do these terms cover?

These terms apply to the use of the AboMonitor app and of the paid AboMonitor Pro subscription. By using the app you agree to them.

2. The app

AboMonitor is a tool for keeping track of your own subscriptions and recurring bills. The app does not retrieve anything from your bank and does not cancel anything on your behalf. What is in the app is what you entered.

3. Trial period

You can try AboMonitor Pro free for 30 days. If you do not continue afterwards, the trial ends by itself and you are charged nothing. You can still view your data at that point, but you can no longer make changes.

4. Subscription, renewal and cancellation

After the trial period AboMonitor Pro costs €2.99 per year. The subscription renews automatically for another year each time, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

You cancel in your subscription settings in the store where you took out the subscription. We cannot do it for you. After cancelling you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, and once your subscription has expired you can still view your data.

5. Payment and refunds

Payments run through Apple or Google. Their conditions apply to refunds; you submit any request to them.

6. Price changes

We may adjust the price of AboMonitor Pro. We announce a price change in advance, and it only takes effect at the next renewal. If you do not agree, you can cancel before that date.

7. Your data

Your data sits on your own device. You are responsible for making backups. See our privacy policy for the details. The app supports backing your data up to Google's or Apple's cloud. The data remains in your own account.

On Android there is one exception. If you switch notifications on, the app registers with our server using an address your device receives from Google. We send an empty message there once a day so the app wakes up and reschedules its reminders; without that, Android eventually shuts them down. What those reminders say stays on your device. If you switch notifications off again, the app deregisters and we delete the address. If you delete the app the address stops working and we discard it on the next round.

8. Liability

AboMonitor is an overview tool, not financial advice. We do our best to keep the app working well, but we cannot guarantee that it is always available and free of errors. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for damage arising from use of the app, such as missed cancellation deadlines or incorrect amounts. Always check important dates and amounts yourself.

9. Changes to the app

We may add, change or remove features.

10. Governing law

Dutch law applies to these terms.
